Service & Repair Field Technician – Automated Parking Systems & Car Lift Stackers
Eligibility: MUST be a U.S. Citizen
Location - USA: Plainsboro, New Jersey or North Jersey (remote flexibility within the region)
Travel: Frequent travel to client sites in NJ, NY, PA, DC, and across the U.S.
Compensation: Negotiable (based on experience)
Position Overview
KLAUS Multiparking America is seeking a hands-on Service & Repair Field Technician to service, repair, and maintain our mechanical and automated parking systems. This field-based role requires performing the work yourself—mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance—at customer sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs on automated parking systems and stackers
- Conduct preventative maintenance, inspections, and reliability checks
- Diagnose and resolve system faults on-site; support commissioning as needed
- Maintain detailed service logs and repair reports
- Provide practical, on-the-job training to service partners and clients
- Travel frequently within NJ/NY/PA/DC and to other U.S. project sites
Requirements
Technical Skills & Experience
- 1–5 years of hands-on field service, repair, or maintenance of electromechanical equipment (parking systems, elevators, industrial automation, robotics, or similar)
- Proven troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Ability to read and work from technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics
Education & Certifications
- Technical degree or trade certification in mechanical, electrical, or automation systems preferred
- OSHA/safety certifications a plus
Soft Skills & Work Style
- Independent, proactive, and reliable; able to work with minimal supervision
- Clear communicator with customer-facing professionalism
- Comfortable in dynamic, on-site environments
Additional Requirements
- MUST be a U.S. Citizen
- Fluent in English (spoken and written); Spanish proficiency strongly preferred
