KLAUS Multiparking - Parking densification in the Hirschquartier Halle

A deer sculpture sits enthroned in the centre of the green, car-free inner area, imparting impressively – the name says it all – where you are. Hirschquartier means deer quarter in German. The surrounding ensemble of buildings has recently been built with a deliberate focus on the future, as smart home technology and digital networking are standard.

Freedom from cars as desired by the planners was achieved by accommodating the parking spaces for the more than 150 apartments in the underground parking garage complex. The Parker MultiBase 2078i that was used doubles the parking capacity compared to conventional parking spaces. The offset steel pillar of the MultiBase 2078i allows the car door to be opened wider making it easy to get in and out. This type of system with the electro-hydraulic synchronous system is more environmentally friendly, requires less maintenance and is more economical overall compared to previous systems with mechanical synchronous system.
